Ms.

McIntoshs
11th Grade English Class
March, 2015

Testing Season
As of now, there is less than two months until time for
final exams. Therefore, these next weeks will consist of lots
of test prep. I am looking forward to working with your
children and seeing them achieve excellent final grades.

Barbecue Fundraiser

Renaissance Faire

Next Thursday, all students will be given

tickets to sell as part of a fundraiser for
prom. Juniors always create prom for the
seniors as a parting gift. Our juniors this
year are still $1,500 short of what they need
in order to pay for the prom festivities that
they would like to have. To help their cause,
they will be selling barbecue dinner tickets
at $8.50 each. Tickets will be available to
buy from any junior student until the day of
the dinner which will be March, 21st.

As part of English 11 curriculum, we have

been studying the Age of the Renaissance.
The renaissance gapped the middle ages and
modern time. It became known as the time
of rebirth. In order to make this part of the
year more fun and understandable, we have
a Renaissance Faire. All students will be
expected to wear renaissance costumes, and
attend a renaissance feast where we will eat
foods that were common for that time
period. I will be sending out information
letters over this later in the week.

Junior year is a very busy time for all students. Theyre trying their hardest to bring
grades up and get as many credits possible before senior year. On top of that,
most of them will be attending their first prom. I will help my students as much
as I can to make this a successful year. Please contact me with any questions.
