    Spring Picture Day is
    Thursday, February 19th.
    The next PTO meeting will
    be March 9th at 6:00 pm.
    March 9-13 is the spring
    book fair.

    A Peek at Our Week


    Reading/Language Arts: Our phonics skill for
    this week is ar (car, start, barn). Our
    comprehension skill is point of view. In
    grammar we are writing sentences with was and
    were.
    Math: We are continuing two-digit addition
    and subtraction. We are learning to use a
    hundreds chart to add and subtract.
    Social Studies: We are learning about Mardi
    Gras and related traditions.

    Star Student
    Our STAR student for February
    9-13 was Milly Posey for being
    supportive. Next weeks
    character trait is confidence.

    Vocabulary Words: classify, distinguish,
