A Community of Practice is a group of people who share a passion for


something that they know how to do and get together regularly to
share their knowledge and learn how to do it better.

The Autism Community of Practice (CoP) will provide the opportunity to


bring together education providers, allied health professionals,
employment agencies, disability support agencies, parent and carer
advocacy groups, other professionals and parents.

We will share, learn and work together to meet the needs of the local
community. The group will build professional and personal knowledge
and expertise within the field of autism.

The Albury/Wodonga Autism Community of Practice will enable


members to address any practical problems encountered within the
autism field in the Albury/ Wodonga region. We will organise guest
speakers for each meeting and have professional discussions regarding
current research. The group will evolve and respond to the needs of the
group.

We meet four times per year (for 2 hours) and ask service providers take
it in turns to host the meeting so venues can change. The agenda and
focus of the meetings will vary depending on the needs of the group.
