BY POST
Please send your objections to: Cheshire West and Chester Council 4 Civic Way Ellesmere Port CH65 0BE.
Your objections need to focus on the reasons why you do not want the new development but also set out why
you dont want to lose your community pub. Your letter must be in your own words but here are a few
pointers you may wish to consider:
MAIN REASONS FOR RETAINING THE CENTURION AS A COMMUNITY PUB
1. Community pub at the centre and heart of Vicars Cross and has Asset of Community Value status.
2. The only fully licensed facility for social interaction vital to the social well being, spirit, empowerment
and opportunities of Vicars Cross life.
3. Extremely family friendly, very supportive to members of the community, groups and clubs for
meetings and events.
4. Raises a great deal of money for local and national causes.
5. Well run pub which is very clean and welcoming with no disturbance to local residents.
MAIN REASONS FOR NOT NEEDING A 64 BED CARE HOME ON THE SITE
1. No identification of need.
2. Design of building inappropriate and overbearing (H Block prison style) and visual impact.
3. Traffic and noise issues.
4. Drainage and water pressure.
5. Effect on the character of the neighbourhood/ Taking away a crucial amenity.
We would urge that you also send a copy of your objections to your local councillors and MP Stephen Mosley;
keith.board@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk and pamela.hall@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
clerk@greatboughtonparishcouncil.org.uk and stephen@chestermp.com
