We are excited to share with you our first newsletter for 2015!

This year we are continuing with our main activities planning the annual conference,
expanding and strengthening our network, developing projects and setting foundations for longterm engagement in education. In this process, we look forward to engaging with all of you and
hearing your valuable feedback and ideas.

Introducing the INIE team


Marcela Chvez Ocampo, President
Marcela is an Erasmus Mundus Master in Media Engineering for
Education graduate (2010-2012) from Lisbon Technical University
(Portugal), Poitiers University (France) and National Distance
Education University (Spain). She was born in Mexico City, where
she works as a consultant.

Abebaw Yirga Adamu, Vice President


Adamu has MEd in Multicultural and Multilingual Education (2007) from Addis
Ababa University (Ethiopia) and European Master of Arts in Lifelong
Learning Policy and Management (2010) from Aarhus University (Denmark),
University of Deusto (Spain) and University of London (England). He also has
PhD in Education and Society (2014) from University of Tampere. He is now
Assistant Professor at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia.

Natalia Jerzak, Conference Director


Natalia graduated from EUROMIME Erasmus Mundus Master at
University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Poitiers (France) and
UNED (Spain). She is Polish and currently conducting her
traineeship at European Commission in European School of
Administration.

Manasseh Anand Makhesh, Conference Team member


Manasseh Anand graduated from Erasmus Mundus Master in
Computational Mechanics from Swansea University (UK) and
Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain). He is from Chennai, India
and is currently working in Barcelona.

Lana Pasic, Communications Coordinator


Lana graduated from Erasmus Mundus Master in Comparative Local
Development at the University of Trento in 2011 and MPhil in International
Development at the University of Oxford. She lives and works in Sarajevo,
Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sulabha Karunanidhi, Research Coordinator


Sulabha graduated from Erasmus Mundus Masters in special
educational needs and currently in India working in the field of special
education. She was president of EMA Indian chapter and very well
associated with other EMA teams. She believes that Service to
mankind is service to god

What to look forward to in 2015?


As with the previous years, our main activity for 2015 will be a
conference which will take place during the summer.
We will soon be sending Save the Date and more details on the
location, but firstly, we want to hear your ideas, opinions and
suggestions on what 2015 INIE conference should be about!
