The graph compares the shifts in the consumption of meat, salt and fish among

the population in China in the years between 1985 and 2010. It can be clearly
seen that fish was the most popular of those foods.
At the beginning meat had the lowest figure (about 100 grams per person per
week), but was steadily increasing and ended up with doubled quantity.
In the contrast, the amount of salt consumed by Chinese people in 1985 was
about 490 grams weekly, however it dropped drastically throughout the years,
reaching 200 grams per person per week. The same amount like the meat
consumption.
On the other hand, the quantity of fish, eaten in China was 600 grams weekly in
1985 and in spite of some fluctuations between 1990 and 1995, demonstrate
upward trend, eventually soared to 850 grams per person per week in 2010.
In conclusion, the amount of consumed fish in China continued its growth, while
meat and salt were more than four times less popular at the end of the period.
