2 skeins of Patons Angora Bamboo
one for the main color, one for the stripe
Needle: size 7 straight and double point needles
Notions: tapestry needle.
Using the main color and your straight needles,
cast on 32 stitches. Row 1: Knit Row 2: Purl Repeat these two rows (stockinette stitch) until the piece measures 7 inches. Switch to your accent color and work 6 rows in stockinette stitch. Change back to your main color and knit another 8 rows in stockinette. Then, bind off loosely. Turn your gloves inside out and use a mattress stitch to seam up the two main color portions of the gloves. With the gloves still inside out, use the double pointed needles to pick up 15 stitches around the thumb hole left in the seam. Knit 6 rows in your stripe color and bind off. Then, do it all over again and get ready to show off those cute little thumbs of yours. Enjoy!
