CYCLE FOR LIFE (CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION April 16", 2014 Dear Jolina Giararmita The Westem Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will hold its 2" annual CF Cycle for Life event on September 14", 2014. This event is not a race. but rather a ride to raise money for the CF Foundation. itis a one-day, fully supported ride with cyclist designed route options of 30, 62, or 100 miles. Our goal is to raise at least $85,000 for CF medical research and care programs through CF Cycle for Life. On May 15”, 2014, we will hold a Cycle for Life Celebration Party to kick-off our September ride. ‘The kick-off party will celebrate and motivate those who have already committed to CF Cyole for Life, as well as inform and recruit additional participants to ride in the fall ‘We hope that La Tavole Italiana will consider extending its support to this exciting kick-off event, ultimately benefiting over 600 local families that battle cystic fibrosis everyday. Your donation will support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in our mission to improve lives by assuring development of the means fo cure and control cystic fibrosis. We are requesting a donation of appetizers or main dishes for our kick-off event. In return for this donation, we will provide your restaurant with a variety of promotional opportunities. This includes onsite signage at the kick-off party, as well as a strong product sampling to our participants. With an estimated 75 attendees, we offer great exposure in front of a targeted crowd of Western Pennsylvania's leading service, healthcare, and corporate professionals Cystic fibrosis is an inherited genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States and 70,000 worldwide. The Foundation’s mission is to find a cure and to improve the quality of life for people living with the disease. Through our efforts, the life expectancy of a child with CF has doubled in the last 30 years, and research to find a cure is more promising than ever.
