PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.SUNY Plattsburghs Shine On! Program is hosting the second
workshop designed to teach parents how to raise resilient, confident girls on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The workshop will be held at the new 30 City venue on City Hall Place in downtown Plattsburgh from 6-7:30 p.m. This informational workshops message is How To Talk To Your Daughter About The Icky Stuff. From first periods and shaving her legs to STDs and sex, parents often struggle with these embarrassing icky topics and how to talk to daughters so that theyll listen. Local Certified Nurse Midwife, Karen Case will be on hand to help parents with information to make it through these difficult conversations. All workshops are free and open to the community because of the CVPH Foundation Grant. Local parents and anyone involved in a young girls life are invited to attend an informational night out with food, a free glass of wine and great conversation while learning tips and tools to raise stronger daughter. Hors doeuvres will be provided by Irises Caf & Wine Bar.
