In the work force Kelleys work had to deal with social reforms for the
minorities of the work force like children and women because they had it
so bad at the time. She had regulated the hours of the work day so that
we today as kids wouldnt have to work long days. I can use these
important facts in my project because they are the actual effects she had
caused and the reforms she initiated in America for most of the population
to this day

This is a biography that I found about Florence Kelley. I didnt read the
whole book itself, but I was just going to use it along with another book as
a reference if some people wanted another way of getting to know my
topic and her life. I did read an excerpt and the book is actually pretty
descriptive of her life and the contributions to America in the way of work.

This book was written by someone else in order to get Florences story
across. I can use this as a reference to get backup info from when I need
to pull information from. I like the format of the book because its in
chronological order and it overall helps me with basic facts.

This primary source was actually a report that Kelley wrote herself. I can
use this in the website because some of the words actually show the
reader how in depth she was. She actually digs deep into some of the
undercover work she did in factories she went into. So this is a great
source to use in the website as a link to her work.

So being a resident in one of those official houses meant that you both
lived there and you worked there. So Kelley had started many
corporations that supported the minorities of the mid 1800s to the 1900s
and with these corporations gave the rights to the right people. She was
married once and brought her 3 kids with her when she divorced him.
Kelley was a committed pacifist because she didnt support some of the
war efforts and she supported women instead.

I got to this website because I was looking for some inspiring or just
overall quotes from Florence Kelley and this is what I came across. It has
some new things that I havent seen any of the other websites have from
her. The other sites do have quotes but they are brief. I most likely will use
these quotes as a display on the website wall that I will make.

This source is basically summarizing in 5 different topics what Florence
Kelley went through in her life to actually get to where she had gotten.
There is her early life, her achievements, her married life, her education
and etc. Florence Kelley had a hard life because of what her family had
gone through and she even had a sickness at a young age that gave
complication to her learning. At a young age she had to prove to whatever
family that she had left that she could do the work to make them proud
which she did. Her private life she was married and her marriage or
relationship seemed very planned out because she had three kids in a
separation of three years.

This source is about Florence Kelley and her work how she went off to do
some investigative work herself in order to get things done. It gives some
hints to how her family back round made her the person she was. It
doesnt say anything about her actually being the only cause to the laws
passed but she was a good contribution to the cause itself. This site also
has some other aspects of her life.

I know that using Wikipedia it doesnt always have the correct information
but I was initially attracted to it because it had some new info in the
website that I can use on my bio area of the website. The info included a
whole new section about Florences school life and some of the trials and
tribulations that she had to go through to get there.

Before looking further into Florence Kelleys life I continued to see the Hull
House pop up as a significant place in her life. Therefore I had to do some
investigating of this place and this was one of the websites I looked into.
Like the other Hull House website I learned of its origin and the founders,
Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr. I also got to learn about the other
residents of the house that had stayed there when Florence Kelley did.

I used this website in order to further my understanding of an activist and
the role in the community. I looked and it helped me understand Florence
Kelleys career a lot more. It told me good information about the many
different forms of activism and was very informative.

This source is another about Kelleys personal life so its not that much
detailed about her work just some of her work. It goes to explain that with
the help of some of her friends they could accomplish some of the big
fights about womens right in the work place. This site gives good info
about how she really helped women of the time thats why I got so
interested in her because I wanted to know some of the work it took to get
the women the rights they have now and even the kids and Kelley played
a big role in this movement.

I used this website to go in depth about a place that was referenced to
multiple times in the other sources. The Hull house was a place that
Florence Kelley and other important figures had both lived and worked in.
since I had not known much about it I decided to look into it. Florence had
lived here with her children after a great divorce with her husband. The
Hull House had gladly taken her in and helped her further her experience.

that I wanted to know about Florences early life. Some of the websites I
had visited had many different facts with the same content and this

This source was great it had a speech that Florence Kelley had given to
the people in Philadelphia on July 22, 1905. The speech was very
persuasive and showed the dedication Florence Kelley had put into her
work. I can use this in this way to show the people of today the way
speeches back in the time what kind of affect the speech caused.

Florence Kelley went to law school so she could learn to fight her own
cases in court. At the time many women did not go to school and she
became a pioneer for women to break free of the social status. This helps
me because it talks about why she did things and that also some of the
things she was the first to do and that means that she was a leader.

I was not sure if this had been a speech that Florence had said herself but
as I started to read it started making sense to the era she had been in so it
turned out to be her speech. I want to use this speech as a reference to
her work on the website because it has good quality points despite the fact
that I wasnt sure at first. I think that Florence Kelley was a good speaker
she had great influence in her work and this quality is one that I want to
show in my website.

This website explains more outside information about the influences
Florence Kelley had in her work and family. It was pretty interesting to see
what her dad did only because all the other sites just said that he was a
high official not much detail about him. Well it seems like all the sites have
given me something different about her work life and this just added more
information about her accomplishments as an activist and how she got
there.
