Creating Tables

Part One: Zodiac Table


A table is a way to show data. We use them to make information easy to
read. Ive seen them on the side of a cereal box. Without tables information
would be disorganized and in a big paragraph. In conclusion, this is what a
table is and what it is for.

Keep your open-ended response at the top of your page. Change the line spacing to 1.5.
Leave two blank lines under your response and begin to follow the instructions below.
Create a table with 4 columns and 5 rows.
Your first row should be your headings. Your headings for this table should be:
First Name, Last Name, Birthday, Zodiac Sign
Bold your headings and make them size 14
Complete the next 4 rows with your own data. Remember to capitalize names!
Your data should not be bold and should be size 12 font.
Insert a row above your headings.
Merge the cells in this row. This will be your title row.
Give your table an appropriate title. Bold it and make it size 16.
Add a picture from the Internet to your document. Be sure to cite, caption, and group it.
Check Print Preview to see how your final document looks.
When satisfied, save as Zodiac Table in your Computer Class folder.
Print to laser printer.
