Saber

You can only follow saber with

an infinitive, because it means
that you know how to do
something
Remember that if you know
something about somebody
that is still saber, ie: I know
Carla is conocer but if I know
WHERE Carla lives, that is
saber

Conocer

You frequently will see conocer

followed by the personal a
because you use this verb to
express relationship to people.

You cannot follow conocer with a

verb (infinitive).

If you have experience or know

about somebodys music, poetry
or art, conocers your man.

If you have personal experience

with a place, use conocer (I know
NY really well, I grew up there
conozco bien Nueva York
