Evaluation criteria:
Attendance and participation (20%)
Students are expected to be present for every session, and participate actively in classroom activities.
Weekly assignments (35%)

Students are expected to do previews and submit assignments in time. After receiving the teachers comments or peer
critiques, students have the option of redoing the assignments and alter the grade.
Final Exam (20%)
There will be a final written exam in the second session of Week 10. The exam will incorporate skills that are covered in the
course, as well as relevant topics and grammar.
Final Presentation (25%)
Students will do a short oral presentation with PowerPoint on a topic of their choice in the last session of Week 10. Outlines
of the presentation should also be submitted.
