Senator Creighton Statement on Governor Abbott's Joint Press Conference

Addressing Executive Amnesty Ruling
AUSTIN -- Today, Senator Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe) issued the following statement regarding
Governor Greg Abbott's Joint Press Conference Addressing Executive Amnesty Ruling:
"I applaud our state leadership for standing united against President Obama's lawless executive action on
illegal immigration. His order to shield millions from deportation is a genuine threat to our sovereignty
and the safety of our citizens."
"Texas is leading the way against President Obama's blatant one-man gang approach to immigration
issues and we will continue to fight until the battle is won. Monday's ruling to temporarily block this push
for amnesty is a victory for Texans and the 25 other states who have joined our efforts."
Among the 26-state coalition fighting President Obamas attempt to grant amnesty are Alabama, Arizona,
Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana,
Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota,
Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
