Beliefs on the purposes of educations for children
The purpose of early childhood education is to start having children engage with one another along with giving them educational opportunities. Educators, along with their guardians need to start building their educational foundation so they can have a successful future. Beliefs on how children learn best and the curriculum used Developmentally appropriate practice should be incorporated into the program by ensuring hands on and visual projects. Most children learn best by performing the project so they can have a first-hand experience with the outcome. However, every learning style must be met because not everyone is the same and some children may learn in a different way such as an auditory learner. Beliefs on physical environment qualities The physical environment of the classroom should be educationally welcoming. The environment should have a positive atmosphere because it is harder to learn when we are surrounded by negativity. Another essential quality besides welcoming and positive is safety. The children need an appropriate environment that will meet their needs and standards to be able to earn the best education possible. Beliefs on caregiver/teacher qualities and education The most important qualities that a caregiver/teacher should have are caring, compassionate, respect, and knowledgeable. A child needs to have a caregiver/teacher that will work with them and meet their needs so they are able to receive a solid education. Beliefs on family involvement Family involvement in early childhood education is very important. Children tend to look up to their families and see them as role models. Also, families need to be active in their education because children do not only learn at school they also learn many life lessons outside of school. Beliefs on importance of profession The early childhood education profession is important because during the early years the children really build their educational foundation. By building their educational knowledge throughout the years will help the children succeed their life goals in the future. Tell me and I forget. Show me and I remember. Involve me and I understand.
