    YP-U4 User Upgrade Instruction

    For USB MSC version

    <Abstract>
    This document describe firmware upgrade method of YP-U4
    <Terminology>
    MSC : USB Mass Storage Class. Simply meaning Removable Disk

    Software upgrade procedure


    This method describes normal Software upgrade procedure when the device is properly working.
    Using this method, all user downloaded data and setting values are preserved.
    1) Connect the YP-U4 to PC over USB. You can see the bellow image.

    2) Copy U4Update.dat file on the root directory of Removable disk of the device.

    3) Disconnect the USB cable. Then device will power off the system automatically.
    4) Press the POWER ON button. Then you can see the bellow image.
    At this time, dont press any key while. After finishing the upgrade, new firmware will be started
    automatically.

    5) Press the POWER ON button again, and check the new software version information in the
    Settigns > System > About tab.
