CCSS 1.OA.1 Use addition and subtraction within 20


to solve word problems involving situations of adding
to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and
comparing, with unknowns in all positions.
When one of the addends is missing, strategies
include looking at it like a subtraction problem, using
a number line, or drawing a picture.

Our Dr. Seuss Celebration is Wednesday

Writing Focus Standard


CCSS: W.1.2 Write informative/explanatory texts in which

they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide
some sense of closure.

This week, we will discuss the difference between facts and


opinions to help with this writing format. We use an Are, Can,
Have organizer to plan the facts well use in writing.
