Subject: Replacement request for faulty vacuum cleaner.
I had purchased a PHILIPS FC 8198 vacuum cleaner from QRS retail outlet in MG
Road on 2/8/2014.
The very next week after purchase, it seemed to be overheating and switching
off by itself when in use for an extended period of time. So I called the service
centre and got it checked with your technician. He checked thoroughly and
specified a defect with the piece. It was assured to me that the product will be
repaired within two days time but the same was repaired only after a week.
Needless to say that I was really disappointed with the way he handled
everything, the product started malfunctioning again and the technician stopped
responding to my calls. This was taken to the service centre twice and the
problem still persists.
The product carries 2 years replacement warranty and the reason I am writing
this letter is to clearly state that I am not interested in getting my product
repaired, rather, I demand a new piece in replacement. I have been your
customer for the last 5 years and this is the first time that I have been so
disappointed with any of your products. I am enclosing copies of the Receipt and
the Warranty Card for immediate action and anticipate the piece replaced within
this week.
