Disaster Prepared
1. Identify your risk. What are the hazards where

you live or work?


2. Make a Family Emergency Disaster Plan and
identify an "out-of-state" family contact. Make
sure everyone knows where to meet if you have
to evacuate and how to get emergency
information in your community.
3. Practice your family disaster plan.
4. Build a Family Disaster Supply Kit for your home

5. Prepare your children every 6 months.
6. Don't forget those with special needs.
7. Learn CPR and First Aid. Visit your local Red
Cross. www.redcrossla.org
8. Eliminate hazards in your home and workplace.
9. Understand post 9/11 risks and how to respond.
10.Get Involved - educate your neighbors volunteer!
