General

Requirements
Composition Notebook or Spiral Notebook
Name and Class are written on the outside of portfolio
Pages are physically in notebook (no loose papers)
No outside work found in notebook ONLY English I
Folder is neat and organized.
Any handouts are stapled or taped in the notebook.
All pages in the notebook are numbered in the bottom
right corner.

1st page of the journal should either be the Foot


Activity from Day #1 or your All About Me page.
This page should be decorated and colored.

Each journal entry is subject to being graded individually


during the unit of study or the week it was assigned. All
journals should be up-to-date and turned in to the journal
crate on Friday afternoons for grading.
The journal will receive a portfolio grade at the end of
the year. This will show growth in writing throughout
the semester.
Exceptional completeness, organization and/or creativity

Bonus Points

Table of Contents is titled and consists of the next 4-5


pages of the notebook.
Page number of each entry is recorded.
Title of each entry is recorded.
