What is a ruler?
A ruler is a tool used to measure distances. It
uses a standard unit of measure called an
inch.
Rulers can measure lengths, widths, and
heights.
There are 12 inches on one ruler. 12 inches is
equal to 1 foot. Therefore, we say that one
ruler is equal to 12 inches or 1 foot.
