Olweus Bullying
Questionnaire results
August 26 & 27, 2013

Survey
In May of 2013, approximately 95% of DHMS

students took a survey regarding school


climate and bullying in their Social Studies
classes
Olweus analyzed the results and sent us a 74

page document with the results


Some of the more interesting statistics will be

addressed today, including

Survey Results
How often DHMS students report that they

are bullied
How safe our students feel at school
How our students report they are bullied

(verbally, excluded, physically, etc.)


Where students are bullied
How often students report an incident when

bullying occurs

Bullying Occurrences
The percentage of students (boys

and girls, all grades) who indicate


that they have been bullied 2-3
times a month or more

Feeling Afraid
The percentage of students who

indicated that they had feelings of


being afraid of bullying
Sometimes, Fairly Often, Often,
or Very Often.

How are Students


Bullied?
For students indicating that they

have been bullied 2-3 times a


month or more, the majority
report that they are bullied by

Students who report that they

have been bullied at least once


or twice a month indicated that
the bullying mostly occurs
