Aldi Food Bundles

This sample menu and grocery list is based on a family of 4 with the kids receiving
breakfast and lunch at school. The family receives $110 per person of food stamps
for a grand total of $440 dollars a month. The prices here are from Aldi which is a
great store to provide your family with more wholesome food for your money. The
grand total for the food listed is $326.60 with an extra $113.40.

Tuna Noodle Casserole:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Stir the soup, cup of milk, 1 cup green peas, tuna, and cup of noodles
3. Bake the tuna mixture for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Stir.
4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
5. Bake for 5 minutes or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Black Bean Burgers:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Mash 1 can of black beans with a fork until thick and pasty.
3. In a food processor/blender, chop Green Bell Pepper and Onion.
4. Stir together 1 egg, 1 TBS Chili Powder, 1 TBS Cumin, and 1 TBS Garlic
Powder.
5. Mix the egg mixture into the mashed beans. Mix in breadcrumbs until
mixture is sticky and holds together. Divide mixture into patties.
6. Place patties on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes on each side.

Potato Wedges:
1. Cut 6 Potatoes into quarters.
2. Wrap with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Turkey Meatloaf:
1. Heat oven to 350F. Melt butter in a small skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onion and garlic; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer
mixture to a large bowl; cool 5 minutes.
2. Add ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, cup ketchup, Worcestershire
sauce, and pepper to turkey mixture; mix well. Press into 8 x 4-inch loaf
pan. Spread remaining cup ketchup over top.
3. Bake 1 hour or until the middle is no longer pink. Let stand at room
temperature 5 minutes before slicing.
Mashed Potatoes:
1. Cut potatoes into quarters.
2. Boil until tender
3. Mash potatoes until smooth, add butter and pepper to taste.
