Trapped

Death is beginning to get the better of me

Enclosed in a tight claustrophobic space, strangled
By the bricks I lie unable to move my bones being
Crushed with every breath I take. I am starving.
I am thirsty. I havent had anything to eat or drink
For days, I hear people above me desperately trying
To free me from the rubble I hear my friends, my
family.

My heart is racing as I hear people screaming for

help, I am being lifted from beneath the rubble, I feel
myself drifting away the ground has stopped shaking,
there is blood on my hands someone whispers in my ear
sleep, sleep , sleep, I close my eyes and then theres
darkness silence and darkness.
