The letter is a request from Maria Veronica de Jesus, a Filipina lay missionary from New York, to the parish chaplain of Sto. Niño De Paz Chapel in Manila, Philippines. She is seeking permission to hold a prayer vigil and rally in honor of Christian martyrs who suffered under ISIS persecution. The events would include speeches by a Jordanian consul and a priest. She has also notified the King and Queen of Jordan and hopes to schedule the vigil for February 27th, posting ads in the church bulletin by the following Saturday.

I am here to seek your permission, to allow, a Prayerful Night Vigil, in your Chapel, in honor of our Christian Martyrs who suffered the ISIS, persecution. I have already communicated to the King and Queen of Jordan, regarding this offering from our hearts in thanking them through our prayers, their act of heroism for our sake Christians. I would need to display a couple of photos, of the ISIS execution, outside the Chapel by the entrance and have a table of candles for the vigil. This is a solemn event, prayerful and meditative, but I do expect the local Media to feature us, if you may allow. I still do not have a date, but I wish to ask you a schedule this coming Friday if it is okay, 27th of February& also, Fr. Jun, if it is okay to start posting our ads in your church bulletin by Saturday. Thank you very much for taking time in reading this letter of mine, and a beautiful Chinese New Year to you!
