AMWA to Hold Centennial Meeting in April 2015

An accomplished researcher and physician, Dr. Nassim Tabatabai

serves as the medical director of Beauty MD International in New
York. Throughout her career, Dr. Nassim Tabatabai has enhanced
her knowledge and skills through memberships in organizations
such as the American Medical Womens Association (AMWA), a
nonprofit professional group that oversees a number of programs
and activities focused on improving womens health and
advancing women in medicine.
In celebration of its first 100 years, AMWA will host its Centennial
Meeting and Gala on April 23-26, 2015, at the Palmer House
Hilton in Chicago. The four-day event will include a diverse
educational program featuring a career development course,
poster presentations, and learning sessions covering a variety of
topics.
A number of prominent speakers will present at the event,
including three-time Olympic medalist Katie Hoff and Pulitzer
Prize winners Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. Outside of the
educational programming, attendees at the meeting will have the

opportunity to participate in a number of special events, including

a centennial celebration gala and a tour of the residence and farm
of Dr. Bertha Van Hoosen, the founding president of AMWA.
