What tools have been used?
By looking at this cover I can clearly see that this
‘cover was made digitally, most likely in a
Photo-manipulation program such as Photoshop.
This album covers inspired by Phote-montage
and isin itself, a Photo-manipulation. The cover
picts the artist, named Kiesza, pulling her head
off from the bridge of her nose, revealing a
‘skyscraper, perhaps the empire state building
‘maybe. They have used photoshops masking,
cutting and layer tools to manipulate the photo.
‘They have added in the ilusion of her head and.
face being hollow, this was most likely achieved
with simple shapes, gradients and/or shading,
‘The background seems to have been either
taken from a seperate photo, taken for the
‘purpose, or is an un-copyrighted image taken
from the internet. The building coming out of her
hhead was most likely taken from the internet or
from a photograph. It was probably created on a
‘seperate layer, to ensure that it could be edited
‘and moved without disrupting the other two
Jmages/photographs. As with the the rest of the
mage, the top part of the head is probably on
another layer, and the lower part too. Then there
Js the text, which was most ikely on another
‘operate layer too. The artist was most likely
‘photographed prior to the creation of this album
‘cover for the manipulation to take place,
