1) The fuel filler flap can be opened manually by removing the right trim panel in the trunk, similar to opening it on the W203 model.
2) If the parklock is electrically faulty, it can be mechanically cancelled by pressing a pin through a hole in the center console while moving the selector lever out of the P position.
3) The sliding/tilting roof can be opened or closed manually by inserting a crank into a hexagon socket behind the overhead control panel after folding down the cover. The roof then needs to be recalibrated if operated manually.

Access for manual operation of the fuel filler flap is obtained behind the right trim panel in the trunk. The trim panel should be removed to simplify operating the emergency release. The fuel filler flap is opened manually in the same way as the W203. Refer also to the Operator's Manual.
Manually cancelling Parklock
If an electrical fault exists, it is possible to mechanically cancel the lock of the selector lever in position P. For example for towing the car. Open the stowage compartment in the center console. Remove the cup holder. Hold the lid fixed at 45. Push a suitable object 1 (e.g. a pin) through the hole and press the pin down. While pressing the pin down move the selector lever our of position P. Remove the pin 1. The selector lever now moves freely until it is again moved into position P.
The drive is concealed behind the overhead control panel. Fold down the cover (1). Insert the crank (2) into the hexagon socket below the opening (1). Open or close the roof by turning in the appropriate direction. If the sliding/tilting roof has been operated mechanically, it then has to be calibrated.
