Candidates selected for May 2015 council elections


As well as voting for a Member of Parliament in Mays General Election, voters in South Worle will also be
voting for two North Somerset Councillors and four representatives for Weston-super-Mare Town Council.
Details of your Conservative council candidates can be found on the reverse of this leaflet.

Working together for the benefit


of South Worle residents
Your Conservative Councillor team have worked hard over the last four years to ensure that the needs
of South Worle residents are heard on both North Somerset Council and Weston-super-Mare Town
Council. South Worle has seen a number of big developments since the last council elections,
including:

Working together on the things that matter

Youth Services
Councillors have worked with the Mead Vale Local Action Team and the YMCA - funded to deliver
youth services by Weston-super-Mare Town Council - to establish a Youth Club in Mead Vale

Residents Facilities
Councillors on North Somerset and Weston councils are working together to deliver a play area
and bus shelters in West Wick. The public toilets at Worle Library have been refurbished and
kept open by Weston Town Council.
Responding to Residents Concerns and Queries
Councillors have toured the area with North Somerset Council Officers to highlight environmental
issues and concerns raised by residents. This has lead to several pieces of work being carried out,
including: ensuring that roads are resurfaced and potholes filled, arranging litter picks in rhynes
near Summer Lane Pond, clearance of blocked drains, and ensuring that vegetation is cut back to
help sight lines at Scott Elm Drive.

Councillor Surgery
A councillor surgery will be held at the Bucket and Spade, Yew Tree Drive on
the 28th of February from 11 a.m.

Councillors will be available to discuss any local issues or concerns.
