Dear Mrs. Pollard,
I am pleased to introduce myself as the candidate for the Adjunct Nurse
Educator/Part-Time Faculty position at Eastern Florida State College. Your
institution has had a proud history of producing well qualified nursing
professionals so I was overjoyed to find the position posting via the college job
board. I seek to add to the accomplishments of EFSC with my talents in
integrated education delivery.
Having practiced as a critical care provider for nine years, I have moved through
the ranks of leadership and continued to pursue my education. Along with adult
medical intensive care patient populations, I have unique experience with
telemedicine and the patient populations of trauma, neurosurgery, cardiovascular
surgery, cardiac, and surgical intensive care patients as exposed by advancing
technology. Within my years of experience I have also been able to participate in
escalating levels of shared governance, team and individual education, and
mentorship of fellow staff members. In my pursuit of higher education, I am
currently finishing my final semester in my MSN program with a concentration in
nurse education. This program has exposed me to over 400 hours of practical
nurse educator role development in coordination with the didactic learning.
As I believe that my qualifications, work, and personal references can speak to
my pursuit of excellence in nursing and my passion for education, I would
welcome the chance to demonstrate my suitability for this position. I look
