2. Video 1: http://www.brainpopjr.com/math/time/partsofaclock/
3. Video 2: http://www.brainpopjr.com/math/time/timetotheminute/
4. To reinforce the subject matter, it is highly recommended to show the videos one at a time and
to complete the associated Brain Pop Lesson ideas and activities for each video segment.
5. The teacher will then help to further reinforce the Brain Pop Videos and Activities by
displaying their iPad on the ActiveBoard and by demonstrating the Tell Time App.
6. Have the students rotate through their learning centers and engage with utilizing iPads to
reinforce time telling skills. They will first learn the basic operations of the iPad app and then
use the matching game to match the times displayed on analog and digital clocks.
7. The student objective is to learn to tell time to minute on an analog or digital timepiece.
8. As a fun additional activity, have the kids create their own clocks. Click
http://www.brainpopjr.com/math/time/partsofaclock/activity/ to print out a blank analog clock
with clock hand parts.
9. Have the students put their clocks together.
10. Circulate around the room as a guide to assist students with this project.
11. Choose students via Popsicle sticks to show their clocks to the class and to have fellow students
guess the time they have displayed on their clocks.
Modifications: None should be required.
Assessment/Evaluations of Objectives: The learning center should be staffed by the Teacher (student to
teacher ratio will be 6:1 or less) who will monitor student success and will provide immediate
intervention where necessary.
Closure: Wrap up with Blank Clock images displayed on the ActiveBoard and by selecting random
students to tell the time that you come up with.
