HOW TO DESCRIBE DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS ON MAPS

Distribution means the spread of features (things) over an area.


Follow the steps in the diagram.
Is there a pattern?
Are things:

Evenly spread
Unevenly spread

Where there is most of a

Give an example with

Concentrated
(a lot close together)

Include geographic TERMINOLOGY. You could use words from the list below:
Directions north, south, east, west (NOT top, bottom, left, right)
Distribution pattern clustered, scattered, random, ordered, linear
Statistics refer to actual numbers from the data
Distances use scale to describe distances, giving units of measurements
Size area covered
Proper Names continent names, country names, city names
