HUTT (JUNIOR) SYNDICATE

2015 DUATHLON

Dear Parents/Caregivers
The Junior (Hutt) Syndicate duathlon will take place at school on Friday 6 th March from 2:00
to 3:00pm. You are all very welcome to come and watch.
Your child will be placed in a team of 3 children. Each team has 1 biker and 2 runners. Some
Year 2 children have chosen to compete as an individual.
If your child has indicated that he/she would like to be a biker then it is necessary to bring
the bike from home. Please indicate on the form below if that is possible. The bike will need
to be in a safe condition and your child will need to wear a helmet.
The bike needs to be at school on Thursday 5th March (for a run through ) and Friday 6th
March. It may be stored overnight in the classrooms.
All children need to wear shoes suitable for biking and running, and shorts and a T shirt (any
colour).
We request that parents watch from the court area, where you will have a clear view of the
whole race, and you will be near the finish line.
After the event is over and the winners have been announced you may take your child
home but please notify his/her teacher that you are doing so.
We look forward to seeing you next Friday!
