Theme developed: The love for own country Philippine

It is clearly shown in the text that Professor Tuko is proud of his identity of
being a Filipino
In class, before he starts the lesson, he asked the pupils questions
regarding Philippines pride.
Evidence: He talks about the national language, national flower,national
hero, national game.
He also asks the students to make the Philippinesflag in class
Evidence: The pupils were asked to make Philippine flags as
ademonstration of hospitality to the guests in the airport.
He punishes the students who are unable toanswer his patriotic questions
well
Evidence: He asked Bondying to go to the corner of the classroom and
recite the word, Doctor Jose Rizal a thousand times
He also seems to prioritise things that appear to be nation related more
than the students responsibilities.
Evidence: Bodyok wants to bathe carabao (buffalo) in the
morning;Ningning has to wash plenty of dishes; Bondying has to scrub
thefloor; Kiko has to gather feed for the pigs.
