It is amazing to see how involved all of our 5th graders have
been in their cancer research. Together, we have learned so
many astonishing facts weve learned about cancer. As the students progress toward their final pamphlets, it is becoming apparent that each of them has placed a tremendous amount of effort into raising cancer awareness. We are so proud of their
work! As always, please continue to work with them at home as
they continue to research and put that information into a pamphlet form. All projects are due WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4TH!

Math with Mr. Wynn/Ms. Mocks

Classes have finished each of the five lessons in Ch. 8, and it is time for our test on dividing fractions and whole numbers. Students have learned to draw visual models and to use
the keep, change, flip method to divide fractions. Next week, we will review for testing on
Monday and the Ch. 8 test will be given on Tuesday (3rd). On Wednesday, we will begin lessons
from Ch. 9 (Algebra: Patterns and Graphing). Students will also be given a weekly standards
quiz regarding adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals on Wednesday (4th).
Thanks again for all of your support this year in math!
