ABOUT ME
My name is Ms. Aubrey Sneed and this
is my first year of teaching.
I love early American poetry and
literature.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, doing
DIY projects, and exercising.

MY CLASSROOM
In this class we will be doing a lot of reading. I will
often ask your opinion on a work, and that doesnt
mean you have to agree with my opinion. As long as
you have a thought out response and use proper
reasoning, you can tell me in great detail why you
disagree with whatever work we are studying.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion- just dont
be rude when others are different than yours!

SUPPLIES
1 Composition notebook
Writing utensils (No red.)
A 1 in. binder with pockets
College ruled loose leaf paper

CLASSROOM RULES
No talking when Im talking, or while another
student is presenting or giving their opinion.
No phones out unless I give permission.
Homework must be turned in at the beginning of
class, 10% off for every day it is late.
Respect everyone. (No making fun, cursing, or
being hateful)

1st Strike is a Verbal Warning

2nd Strike is a Lunch Detention
3rd Strike Meeting with Principal and
Saturday Detention and/or In School

Q UA RT E R B O O K P R O J E C T S
Every quarter each student will have a 200 point project.
1st Quarter- Make a collage/movie poster/alternative book cover
representing the novel you read. Chose three aspects of the
piece to elaborate on in a 5 paragraph essay.
2nd Quarter- Write a script, complete with cast and one scenes
worth of lines from a part in the book. (Bonus points available
for filming your scene or acting it out in class)
3rd Quarter- Do a mock interview/obituary/social media profile
for a character in the book.
4th Quarter- Research paper and oral presentation over one of
the novels you have read this year.. This is the class final grade,
and we will go over more details of it at the end of the year.
