Objectives: By the end of the lesson
pupils are able to recognize the letter
and the sound of /i/.
Phonemic Word List: pin, bin, pit, tin, sit,
ink.
KSSR word list: in, yes, no, can.
Materials: pictures, envelopes.
Activities: 1. Pupils will be introduce with
the letter i. next, the teacher will
demonstrate
the
correct
way
of
pronouncing the letter and the sound of
the letter /I/
2. Pupils will follow and will be drill with
the pronunciation.
3. Next, the pupils will observe and learn
as
the
teacher
demonstrate
on
segmenting
and
blending
the
phonemes /i/. Pupils will then practice
segmenting and blending for some time
until they got the hang of it.
4. The teacher will then show a picture
and say the word. Next, the pupils will
practice segmenting and blending each
words by looking at the picture shown.
For example, the teacher shows the
picture of a bin, then the pupils will spell
the word bin.
