ATCT MCE NSST MLA CUTThe Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers Association is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee
and to commemorate this occasion it has decided to organise a convention with the
prime focus on production of raw cashew nuts, processing technologies and
promotion of cashew kernels. A two day convention is being organised on 14th and
15th of March 2015 at Dr. T.M.A Pai International Convention Center, Mangalore with
the theme PRODUCTION, PROCESSING, PROMOTION. This will address the urgent
needs of the industry and create a road map for unbridle future gr
PRODUCTION
‘The Association is organising a gathering of all the industry stake holders to debate the
road map for increasing the production and productivity of the raw cashew nut farm in
the country and to bring India back to its prime position of leadership in cashev
production. The essence of the symposium will bring out a cashew policy for
Karnataka State to increase it's raw cashew nut production to two lakh metric tonnes
and makeit the "Cashew State of india,”
PROCESSING
Processing is the heart of the cashew industry in India today. With this in mind, the
association has been at the forefront of innovation and adoption of new technology
On these lines it is organising a machinery exhibition showcasing the latest in
processing technology from all over the world called "Kaju Tech" . More than 80
machinery manufacturers are expected to demonstrate latest processing machines at
‘this two day event. This will ensure that the delegates get to view cutting edge
PROMOTION
technology.
‘A promotional event "Kaju Fest" is being organised to promote the cashew kernel for
its health benefits to the consumer. A grand cashew festival showcasing the industry
from farm to fork is also part of this function which will host various competitions for
the public including a cashew based recipe competition, an essay writing
for school children on health benefits of cashew and a best presentation
on generic promotion of cashew forthe college students.
The convention will review the current market scenario, focus on the state of the
industry in 2020, debate new processing technologies and venture into methods to
utilise the cashew apple. Leading strategists and top notch speakers will make
presentations on marketing, brand building and strategising for the futures
