VOLUNTEER WORK
C.I.T for Girl Scout Camp Tall Trees
Involves organizing and running activities, being responsible for a patrol of 8 girls, belaying on
natural rock and a rock wall, and playing taps, call to meals, and revile every day. Also, we had to
teach girls how to have a proper flag ceremony, build and lash rafts, use knifes, tie knots, and
other cultural activities relating to the years theme.

Summer of 13 and 14

McKinleyville Middle School Tri Tip Dinner and Car Washes

In order to fundraise for a class trip at the end of the year, the school called for volunteers to
wash cars, and on a separate night, serve as waiters for a tri tip steak dinner.

Helping young kids with crafts and teaching alongside the leaders.

4th of July Celebration Rock Wall

In a local town, there is a huge community 4th of July celebration. Through the Girl Scouts, myself
and 6 other girls ran a rockwall for people of all ages. Involved putting on harnesses, belaying,
and assembling and putting up the rock wall.

Humboldt Sponsors Flea Market

At the beginning of the year, an all womens organization, who so graciously donate hundreds of dollars to our troop, holds a flea market.
The proceeds go towards creating grants for local volunteer organizations. My girl scout troop assisted in running the event.
Christmas Tree Pick up

After Christmas, my Girl Scout troop picks a weekend to be on call to pick up and dispose of local
Christmas Trees.
Christmas Craft Fair
Around the holiday season, I helped run a craft fair for younger girl scouts.

Once a year, my troop hosted a spa night for younger girls. We kept them feel fed and feeling
glamorous as ever.

I have served as a girl scout from the beginning of grade school, all the way until now. I have
ranked from a Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and now am currently a junior. I was a part of
troop 10181 in the Northern California Council, but upon my arrival in New Jersey, I have become
a Juliet Scout.

Ballet (On Pointe) and Jazz Dance Classes
I have been dancing my entire life, and have currently been training at Jazz RockBallet Studio in
LInwood.

I have been playing Piano since I was in 2nd grade. I currently am going to lessons with my church
pianist.

I started to play trumpet in 5th grade, but have been playing Euphonium from 8th grade.
Euphonium is my primary instrument, but I still actively practice trumpet.

Fellowship Of Christian Athletes Club (FCA)
Upon starting high school this year, I joined the FCA club. We have weekly meetings, and
sometimes out of school events. Our focus is to create and worship, together.

Central United Methodist Youth Programs
At CUMC in Linwood, I belong to a youth group of over a dozen kids. We gather every Sunday,
and participate in mission projects and conferences on other days.
