Digipak Research- Ideas

Before starting to produce our digipaks I looked at the key artists from the
same genre that influenced us such as Lana Del Rey, Adele and Emeli Sande,
Ella Henderson, Rebecca Ferguson and Taylor Swift. After looking at the codes
and conventions of digipaks, I decided to look at their digipaks. This helped me
very much in the construction stages of creating the digipaks, as I was heavily
influenced mainly by Adele and Lana Del Ray. The reasons were the type of
font they used, the way how it was presented and the type of image they used
as well. They both used bold font to stand out to their target audience. The
pictures they had gave me ideas about how I wanted ours to look like. I
particularly liked Lana Del Reys digipak as I felt it was something that I could
incorporate into our own. The colour scheme worked well giving it a nice
balance. The font Rainbow which is used on her digipak has also been used
on ours as well. This is because the font is matches well to the type of genre
we are. I feel that this will help the audience establish the brand EP and make
them relate to the artist. It also gives our artist her own identity as the same
font is used on the magazine advert. Before doing our final digipak, we were
going to change the whole style of our digipak and use Taylor Swifts digipak
for our creative decisions. But in the end we ended up using other ideas from
digipaks that we really liked such as Adeles 21 Album and Lana Del Reys
Born to die album. Therefore we incorporated this into our ancillary products.
