REMINDERS
With 3rd quarter coming to an end in two weeks we encourage students and families to
maintain AR Goals (80% or higher), submit Kid Biz assignments, strive for accuracy during
Sum Dog, and to complete Ten Marks assignments by their due dates (80% or higher).
AR Goals
Students should be checking out books from the library and taking AR quizzes regularly,
either at home or during laptop time at school. Remember AR quizzes demonstrate that
students understand what they are reading and that they are working toward their class goals.
Kid Biz
Non-fiction texts are readily available through KidBiz, meeting every student at their
unique reading level. Students should be accessing KidBiz either at home or during laptop
time at school.
Sum Dog
This month we are focusing on accuracy when playing Sum Dog. This game is intended
to improve math fact fluency and can be played with multiple players!
Ten Marks
Ten Marks assignments are assigned according to the standards taught with our Math
curriculum, Stepping Stones, each week. These assignments are due at the end of the week
and students should be striving to get an 80% or higher. Students can also submit
assignments multiple times in order to increase scores. Monday, March 2nd, marks the first
day of Math Madness! What is Math Madness? View the rules and information below to find
out what Math Madness is and how we can win a Grand Prize!
