COOPERATIVE

LEARNING ACTIVITY RUBRIC

In your groups, you will choose an identity group that has experienced social injustice. You will
research the history of that identity group, identifying the struggles, heroic figures, symbols, and
common values shared by members of that identity group. Since this project is about advocacy,
you will highlight the value that this identity group has in our society, and discuss the various
reasons why this identity group deserves respect and equality.

Finally, you will develop a visual representation of your findings through the development of a
flag that represents the identity group that you have chosen.
