information from the network to all UEs in a cell.
o Paging Control Channel (PCCH) :used for paging of UEs whose location on
cell level is not known to the network.
o Common Control Channel (CCCH) :used for transmission of control
information in conjunction with random access, i.e., used for UEs having no
RRC connection.
o Dedicated Control Channel (DCCH) :used for transmission of control
information to/from a UE, i.e., used for UEs having RRC connection (e.g.
handover messages).
o Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) :used for transmission of control
information required for reception of MTCH.

Traffic Channels
o Dedicated Traffic Channel (DTCH) :used for transmission of user data
to/from a UE.
o Multicast Traffic Channel (MTCH) :used for transmission of MBMS services.
