Coffee Organizing Partnerships

The Huntersville Police Department would like to formally invite the Community to meet the officers
that work in your neighborhoods to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink a free
cup of coffee. All community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 1:00 p.m. on
Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Sweet Spot located at 10050 Edison Square Dr, NW, Concord, NC 28027.
Coffee with a Cop provides an opportunity for the community to ask questions and learn more about
the departments work in the neighborhoods. The majority of contact that officers have with the
public usually happens during emergencies or emotional situations. These situations are not
always the most effective times for building relationships with the community. Also, some residents
may feel that officers are unapproachable while on patrol. The Huntersville Police Department,
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Concord Police Department, Cabarrus County Sheriffs
Office and Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Office hope to break down the barriers and allow for a
relaxed, one-on-one interaction. We hope that residents will feel comfortable enough to ask
questions, voice concerns, or simply get to know our officers better. These interactions are the
foundation of community partnerships. So please join us at Sweet Spot on Sunday, March 29, 2015
from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
