A Peek at the Month

of March

March 2-6 is Read Across America

Your child should Read at Home (RAH) as a regular part of

homework. RAH logs for the 3nd nine weeks incentive are
due March 13, 2015
Reading: Unit 4: Readers Theater and the emotions of
characters. Students will portray scenes in books through
acting them out. Students will also begin working with
poetry in this unit.

Week in honor of Dr. Seuss birthday.

Writing: Unit 4: Persuasive Writing

We invite your child to participate in

the daily activities as follows:
Monday Party Hat Day
Tuesday wear black & white
Wednesday wear crazy socks
Thursday Twin Day

Math: Unit 5: Operations and Algebraic Thinking. Students

will apply properties of operations to solve word problems.
Social Studies: Historical Figures Lewis and Clark,
Sacagawea, Harriet Tubman, Theodore Roosevelt, George
Washington Carver.
