    I whood first add the ones to get 9 in the ones place. then I would add the tens to get 40 then I
    would add 9 and 40 to get 49.
    20 30 and40 are my tens.
    5 1 and 2 are my ones
    first i wouldadd the ones to get 8 next I would add the tens to get 90 finleye I would add 8 and 90 to get 98.
