1) Tell the Students you are going to watch a silent cartoon. Ask them:

Have you ever watched any silent films before? (Maybe they will mention Charlie Chaplin)
and you can quickly discuss their impressions about this type of movies.

2) Tell the Students that the name of the cartoon is Paperman and elicit the ideas about its
content:

What will this cartoon be about?

3) Show the first 10 second of the cartoon and as soon as they see the Title and a man standing at
the station [0:10], pause it and ask them to discuss the following questions:

Whats this mans job?

Is he happy at work?
Do you think he has a happy family life? a girlfriend? a wife?

4) Go on watching till a woman appears and pause when they stand next to each other [0:30]
And ask such questions as:

Do they know each other?

Are they colleagues?

5) Next time stop when she took the train and left [1:00]
Ask the Students:

Are they going to see each other again?

How will he find her?
What would you do in this situation?

6) The next pause is possible when he saw the same girl in the opposite window.
The question here will be:

What will he do to attract her attention?

7) Then just let the Students enjoy the cartoon up to the end and after watching you may suggest
the following questions:
