Home Design Terms and Conditions

About these terms

These are the general terms and conditions which apply to your purchase of goods from Home Design Shop
Online, whether you buy through our website at www.home-design1c.com.weebly over the phone and in store.
Please note that terms and conditions for in store purchases may vary depending on the store you visit. These
terms and conditions are available in store.

As well as these general terms and conditions, other important legal terms are set out in our Returns Policy. By
agreeing to these general terms and conditions you also agree to the returns policy, all of which form part of a
legally binding contract between us and you. You should read these general terms and conditions and the
returns policy carefully before buying anything

We reserve the right to change the general terms and conditions and the returns policy at any time. Any
changes to the general terms and conditions or the returns policy will be effective for all new orders placed
after the change is published on the Shop Online website. You should check the general terms and conditions
and returns policy posted on the I Shop Online website before each order they may have changed since your
last visit.

If you have any questions about the general terms and conditions, the returns policy, the goods or Shop Online
please contact us or you can speak to an IKEA Shop Online advisor by calling 020 3645 0015.

Information about Shop Online and the goods

By using the website (even if you don't buy any goods) you also agree to be bound by these terms and
conditions.

We try to make sure that all information on the Shop Online website, including descriptions of our goods and
listed prices, are accurate and correct at all times. However, mistakes do happen. We will try to resolve all
errors in information on the Shop Online website as soon as reasonably possible and if we think that such an
error has affected your order we will try to let you know.

You should bear in mind that buying goods over the internet provides a different shopping experience from
buying in-store. In particular you should be aware that:
the colours of goods as shown on the website will depend on many factors including your display settings;
the sizes and shapes of the goods may differ in real life from how they appear on your screen. We provide
dimensions and measurements in the descriptions of the goods and it is your responsibility to check that the
actual size of each item is suitable for your purpose;
pictures and images on the website are for illustration purposes only. For an accurate description of any item
and details of what is included with the item, you need to read the corresponding written description;

all goods are subject to availability and we may not be able to supply your order. We reserve the right to
withdraw any goods from sale at any time, and our only liability to you for withdrawing any goods will be to
refund to you any money paid to us in respect of those goods which we are no longer able to supply;
we will do our best to deliver your goods in accordance with the delivery date set out in our final delivery
advice email, but please note that all delivery dates given by Shop Online (whether on the website, over the
phone or by email) are estimates only and delivery dates may vary. Please see for more information about
delivery;
not all goods and promotions that are offered by Shop Online will be available in-store, and vice versa. In
principle, our online prices are the same as in our catalogue and in our stores. Occasionally, however, you may
find a difference in price, for instance where there are different local store and online promotions. We reserve
the right to adjust prices, goods and special offers at our discretion.
We will do our best to check the website for viruses but we do not warrant that the website is free of viruses or
other malicious content. For your own benefit, you should make sure that you have appropriate software and
systems in place to check for viruses and other malicious content on the internet.
Availability
We have the right at any time to modify or stop providing Shop Online and to stop selling any or all goods
through it, either temporarily or permanently and with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you for any
modification, suspension or discontinuance of availability of Shop Online.
Security
It is your responsibility to ensure that your login details, password and all other details in relation to your
account remain confidential at all times. You agree to let us know as soon as possible if you know or reasonably
suspect that the security of your account is at risk.
Eligibility to order goods
You may only purchase from Shop Online if you are aged 18 years or over, and are a resident of the United
Kingdom. You will need an active email address and a telephone number at which you can be easily contacted.
Although we sell children's products, these are intended for purchase by adults only. All goods sold through
IKEA Shop Online are intended for domestic use only; goods are not suitable for commercial or industrial use
unless expressly stated.
Placing your order
Please see How to... Shop Online for information about the steps involved in placing an order. Your order
constitutes an offer to purchase goods from us. Where you order more than one item your order comprises a
series of offers for each item individually.
Our order acknowledgement webpage and email set out the final details of your order which you have
submitted to Shop Online. Please take care when placing your order, as you will be unable to add to or amend
your order after we send the Order Acknowledgement email.
The order acknowledgement contains details of the goods you have ordered, the total cost of the order
including delivery, and an order number. The order acknowledgement email also constitutes the VAT receipt for
your goods. You should print off a copy of the Order Acknowledgment email, and a copy of these general terms
and conditions and the returns policy and keep them safe. You will need to refer to these details when
contacting us about your order.
Please note that the Order Acknowledgement is simply an acknowledgement that your order has been received
by Shop Online; it does not indicate that we have accepted your order and does not form a binding contract.
Order acceptance
Except as set out in paragraph below, acceptance of your order will take place only when we despatch the
goods to you. Until we despatch your goods no contract will have been formed between you and us.
In the case of goods that are made to order (such as made to order sofas or worktops) acceptance of your
order takes place at the point at which we send out our delivery advice email. Please be aware that different
cancellation rights apply to goods that are made to order, see our returns policy for more details.

Although we hope to be able to supply all goods ordered, we reserve the right, at our discretion and without the
need to give reasons, not to accept any offer at any time before it has been accepted. Should we refuse your

order we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.

Pricing errors
Whilst we try to ensure that all the prices on IKEA Shop Online are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover
an error in the price of the goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. You will
then be given the option of re-confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order.
If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat
the order as cancelled and notify you by email.
If you decide to cancel your order after we have informed you of a pricing error and you have already paid for
the goods, we will give you a full refund as soon as reasonably possible (and in any event within thirty (30)
days of cancellation).
About these terms
These are the terms and conditions (the Delivery Terms) which apply to the delivery by us to you of goods
purchased by you from us either online at www.ikea.co.uk or in one of our stores (the home delivery service).
Please click here for specific information about online delivery or store delivery.
We reserve the right to change the Delivery Terms at any time. Any changes to the Delivery Terms will be
effective for all new deliveries placed after the change is published on our website. You should check the
Delivery Terms posted on the IKEA website before each new delivery they may have changed since your last
visit.
Pricing
In most cases the delivery fee payable by you for your order will be that which is given by Shop Online at the
time you place your order. The delivery fee can be calculated according to your postcode, the weight, size,
nature and value of your goods. For more details on the delivery fees, please see our delivery information.
Damaged Items
If items within the packaging are faulty or damaged (whether before or during delivery), you shall notify
customer services of such fault or damage using the telephone number stated on the sales receipt (for in store
orders) or in our delivery advice email / on our website (for online orders) as soon as possible after delivery.
Any damaged product/package must be retained for inspection at a later date. Should you dispose of any
damaged product/package before we have had the opportunity to inspect it, then this could affect any claim for
replacement.
Where it is established that we are responsible for damage to a delivered item, we will replace the damaged
item or if we are unable to do so, we will reimburse you with the full amount you have paid for the product
together with any delivery charges.
We will not accept responsibility for any items that are damaged during the delivery process to the extent that
such damage is your fault.
Our Liability
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances (including without limitation lorry breakdown, traffic accident,
major traffic delays or severe weather) we will do our best to contact you to rearrange an alternative delivery
timeslot or date. We will not be responsible for any losses incurred due to a delay in delivery arising out of any
cause beyond our control.
If we fail to comply with these Delivery Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a
foreseeable result of our breach of the Delivery Terms or our negligence. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they
were an obvious consequence of our breach or if they were contemplated by you and us at the time we entered
into this contract.
If we are providing Home Delivery Services in your property, we will make good any damage to your property
caused by us in the course of our performance. However, we are not responsible for the cost of repairing any
pre-existing faults or damage to your property that pre-dated our performance of the Home Delivery Services.
We will only supply the Home Delivery Services for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Home
Delivery Services for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss
of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business, business interruption, loss of
goodwill or loss of business opportunity or for any injury to your reputation.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the
negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors;
(a) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(b) breach of the terms implied by section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (title and quiet
possession);
(c) breach of the terms implied by sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982
(description, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and samples); and
(d) defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

Returns: Shop online

About this Returns Policy The terms and conditions set out in this returns policy apply to all goods purchased
from Shop Online in the UK, whether you buy through our website at www.IKEA.co.uk, or over the phone. This
returns policy complies with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges)
Regulations 2013.

Your right to cancel

Where you place an order through Shop Online you can cancel your order at any time before the goods are
despatched to you and we will provide a full refund of the price of the goods and any delivery and other charges
which you have incurred.

Following payment of the goods (which is when the contract between us is formed), you can cancel your
contract up until 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods by notifying us. This means that if you
change your mind about the goods, or for any other reason you decide you do not want to keep the goods, you
can notify us of your decision to cancel the contract, and then return the goods to us for a refund. If your order
comprises of more than one item which are delivered on separate days, or one product which is delivered in
instalments on separate days, you may cancel your contract in respect of all instalments and any or all of the
goods up to the end of the day which is 14 days after the day on which you receive the last instalment of the
goods or the last of the separate goods ordered.

Nothing within this returns policy or the general terms and conditions affects your statutory rights under law,
and in particular you will always be entitled to return goods to us for a full refund if they were misdescribed, or
are not of satisfactory quality or reasonably fit for their purpose and we cannot remedy the fault to your
reasonable satisfaction. In such circumstances, we will refund the price of the goods in full, together with any
applicable delivery charges and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item(s) to us.

How to cancel
If you wish to cancel an order or contract, you just need to let us know that you have decided to cancel. You
can do this by phone or in writing.

Call us on 020 3645 0015. Please have your order acknowledgement email to hand and be ready to quote your
order number and to specify which goods you want to return.

You can alternatively complete the cancellation form on our website, in which case we will email you to confirm
that we have received your cancellation.

Alternatively, you may also give us written notice of your cancellation. This can be done by writing to us at
Shop Online, Customer Services Centre, Kingston Park, Peterborough, PE2 9ET. You must include your order
number in the written notice, and clearly specify which goods you wish to return.

Whether you send your cancellation notice by post, phone or online, the cancellation will take effect on the day
it is sent to us.

Where you cancel the contract after the goods have been delivered you agree to return the goods to us by
following the procedure set out below.

Returning your goods

If the goods have been delivered to you before you decide to cancel your contract, you must return the goods
to us without delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which you let us know that you
wish to cancel the contract.

If you would like to return the goods yourself, you can take them to any IKEA store within the United Kingdom.
You will need to take all of the goods you are returning, together with a copy of your Order Acknowledgment
email, delivery receipt and the payment card with which you paid for the goods.

To arrange collection of the unwanted goods please contact Shop Online by contacting us or alternatively you
can speak to an IKEA Shop Online Advisor on 020 3645 0015. Please have your order number and delivery
receipt to hand. We will then arrange for your unwanted goods to be collected by an representative.

You agree to return the goods in full, in a resaleable condition and also asks that you return the packaging with
the goods where possible. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods, unless the goods are faulty
or not as described, in which case we will refund any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item to us. If
you are returning your goods because they are faulty or incorrect, no collection fee will be charged.

If you decide to return goods to us after you have started to assemble them then you should disassemble them
to the extent necessary to allow them to be properly returned. However, if disassembly is reasonably likely to
cause damage to an item please leave it assembled and let us know by contacting us or alternatively you can
speak to an Shop Online advisor on 020 3645 0015.

Taking reasonable care of the goods

You agree to take reasonable care of the goods from the time that they are delivered to you until the time that
they are returned.

If our representative reasonably considers that collection from the room of your choice is likely to cause
damage to the goods or to your property, they will inform you and record this concern on the collection
document. You may instruct our representative to collect the goods in spite of such concern but we will not be
liable for any damage caused to your property or to the goods as a consequence of us attempting collection on
your instructions (provided that reasonable care is taken in collecting the goods);
You agree to give our representative all goods which are being returned, including all component parts of
such goods and all related items or accessories (and if possible the original packaging) which are included in the
price of the goods being returned;
A collection document must be signed by you to confirm that the collection has taken place. The collection
document will be provided by the representative who comes to collect your goods;
If you are not personally available to accept delivery of the goods you may appoint a representative to do so
on your behalf. The representative must be an adult capable of supervising collection on your behalf, and you
agree that we will be entitled to rely on the representative's instructions as if they were your own.

Refunding your money

We will refund the price you paid for the goods and credit the refund you are due to the credit, debit or gift card
that you made payment with. However, please note that we are permitted by law to reduce your refund to
reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which
goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
We will refund any delivery costs you have paid.
We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible and in any event within the deadlines indicated below:
If you have received the goods and we have not agreed to collect them from you, 14 days after the day on
which we receive the goods back from you (or if earlier, the day on which you provide us with evidence that you
have sent the goods back to us); or
If you have not received the goods or you have received them and we have agreed to collect them from you, 14
days after you inform us of your decision to cancel the contract.
