IN LOVING MEMORY

Mrs. Cupie Morris Jones Thompson

February 16, 1909 October 23, 1980

God really loved me, he loved me best

And has laid me down for a soft, sweet slumber, no longer
Restrained by earths boundaries, I am ready for my eternal rest.
God really loved me, Hes answered my call from afar
I was His foot soldier, my hands never straying from the plow.
He saw that I was weary and, wrecked with scars,
Yet age had not withered me, my spirit never broken nor bowed.
He knew I would have stood much longer,
If need be. I would have fought even harder
To be in his service and asking, still, for him to send me.
God really loved me, He promised that someday I would see
The face of my savior, knowing it was where I longed to be.
Please do not weep for me, my beautiful children, now that
The day has finally come.. Know that I am in my Fathers
House,
The place destined and already prepared for me.
God Really loved me, and this Ive known,
His words have always told me so
Ive come to the garden, but I am not alone,
He has called to me softly, beckoning me closer to the Throne
Saying It is well done my faithful daughter
It is time now to make heaven your home.

Your Loving Grand -daughter,

Linda
