The “Dixieland” show a few years ag0 was one of those, a show which was repeated at home and to the accolades of the fans in several other stadiums in the conference. The show presented a few weeks ago representing jazz. music of different eras was, from the reaction of the fans and from the comments later received, another one of those shows which not only bears repeating, but demands at least one more performance. Again then, by “popular demand”, the “Wildcat” Band presents for this halftime the “JAZZ” show, featuring Woody Herman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing”; the modem jazz of Chuck Mangione’s “Legend of the One Fyed Sailor”; “One O'Clock Jump”, and “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”. A special finale, different, but familiar, will please the fans. For all those Kentuckians who are Tennessee bound, look for this show next week at Knoxville tums blue. DRUM MAJOR JIMMIE YEISER “A FINAL PERFORMANCE” Drum Major Jimmie Yeiser is performing with the UK Band for his, last time in Commonwealth Stadium. A member of the band since 1970, Jimmie has been Drum Major since 1971. his sophormore year. Jimmie has earned not only the Bachelor's degree at UK, but will be awarded the master’s Degree in Forestry in December. He is presently a Graduate Assistant in that field. Next semester, he will be working on his doctorate in Forestry Genetics at Texas A&M where he has also been awarded a Graduate Assistantship. The members and staff of the UK Band organization would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his years of leadership and dedication to the “Wildcat” Band and to wish him great success in his chosen career.
